Just finished playing this course. Never knew there was a mountain course south of Atlanta. The 1st and 10th holes have an elevation drop of over 100 feet. This is one neat course to play. Fast greens, fair fairways and some very tough holes. Shot a score higher than any I've shot in 5 years, but really enjoyed the layout. Can't wait to play it in the spring or summer. Should be beautiful. The course is about ten miles north of Thomaston Georgia. It's a good 60 miles from Warner Robins but worth the trip. As the first golfer said bring a lot of balls, the rough is british open style, without the gallery to mat down the grass and briars.

I last played this course Jan 2008. Great mountain course with extreme elevation changes. They lost 6-7 greens last summer due to extreme drought and heat but they are coming back. They've planted new grass on the greens which will be more heat tolerant. They are doing a lot of thinning out of the woods which is making the course even more eye appealing. Building a new clubhouse with a projected opening of Apr- May 2008. Only negative is the driving range and practice putting green are terrible.

Great fun golf course that puts the thrill back into experienced golfing. Need high ball flight, some shaping, but no driver bashing skills. Also, hone up on NASCAR driving skills for the cart paths. Very enjoyable 18 holes of golf with high terrain but several flat fairways also.
